Speaking about the Holocaust, Netanyahu said, “The Holocaust in which a third of our people were lost.” He recounted the immense suffering endured by millions, emphasizing the catastrophic consequences of hatred, persecution, and displacement.
During a reception following his speech, Netanyahu shared a personal encounter that left a lasting impression. “Outside here, we had a gathering, a reception, and a man came up to me. He’s 101 years old. His name is Jake Walks. Jake, stand up. Stand up. Stand up, Jake,” he said, calling attention to the survivor in the audience.
Netanyahu described the significance of meeting Jake, a Holocaust survivor who escaped the Nazi death camps. “Jake is a Holocaust survivor. He escaped the death camps. And I… I shook his hand and I said to him, and I say to the entire world, never again. Never again. Never,” he declared, his voice resonating with solemn determination.
