Former Edo State governor and senator, Adams Oshiomhole, has dismissed a viral photo showing him allegedly massaging a woman’s feet inside a private jet, describing it as fake and likely created using artificial intelligence.
Speaking during an interview on News Central TV, Oshiomhole said the image was part of repeated attempts to spread false stories about him online.
He explained that he does not own a private jet and cannot afford to charter one. According to him, he usually travels by commercial flights and is often seen at domestic airport terminals trying to catch flights like many other passengers. He even pointed out that the media previously reported a disagreement between him and Air Peace, which he said shows he normally flies with regular airlines.
Oshiomhole added that he has spent much of his life in public struggle and activism, long before he entered political office. Because of that history, he said he is not surprised by controversies or accusations.
To illustrate this, the former president of the Nigeria Labour Congress recalled that during the military era he was once detained underground at Awolowo Way in Lagos and interrogated by a military officer over an alleged coup plot, even though he had no connection with the armed forces.
Oshiomhole maintained that he has served Nigeria to the best of his ability and believes that false stories or edited images cannot change his record of activism and public service.
