Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday said Israel would intensify its focus on senior figures within Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, following a missile strike that hit a town in southern Israel a day earlier.
Speaking during a visit to the affected area, Netanyahu said those he described as key figures in Iran’s military structure would be directly addressed. He made the remarks while assessing damage in the town of Arad, which was struck by an Iranian missile on Saturday, according to Israeli authorities and local emergency services.
Netanyahu stated that Israel’s response would not be limited to defensive measures, indicating a broader effort aimed at what he described as leadership, facilities, and financial networks linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards. He stressed that individuals at the top of the organisation would remain a priority in the country’s security planning.
