Iranian-American actor and producer Sam Asghari has accused Iran’s leadership of intensifying information control through internet shutdowns and propaganda, as pressure mounts on the government.

“They shut down the internet. They feed their own people false information and show what I would call fake news including AI-generated videos showing them supposedly destroying American [targets],” he said.
