If You Vice Anybody, You Have Lost Your Political Capital” – Prophet Joshua Iginla Warns Peter Obi

Prophet Joshua Iginla, founder and senior prophet of Champions Royal Assembly, has advised Peter Obi against accepting a vice-presidential position in any future political arrangement, cautioning that such a decision could weaken his political standing.

Speaking in a recent video shared on YouTube, Iginla clarified that his views were based on personal political analysis rather than divine revelation. He emphasized that his comments reflect his understanding of Nigeria’s political environment and the strategic considerations required for long-term relevance.

According to the cleric, Obi has built considerable political credibility and public support over time, particularly within opposition circles. He argued that accepting a subordinate role at this stage could undermine that progress and reduce his influence in future political contests. Highlighting the importance of leadership positioning, Iginla stated, “If you vice anybody, you have lost your political capital.”

He explained that candidates who command strong grassroots backing and national visibility risk diminishing their stature if they step into secondary roles. In his view, such a move could make it difficult for Obi to reassert himself as a leading contender in subsequent elections.

Iginla further noted that Obi occupies a distinctive position within Nigeria’s opposition landscape, which he believes should be preserved. He warned that agreeing to serve as a running mate could send an unfavorable message to supporters and weaken his negotiating strength in future political alignments.

The cleric also stressed that political success in Nigeria often depends on careful and strategic decision-making. He suggested that individuals seeking to challenge the dominance of the ruling All Progressives Congress must be deliberate about the roles they accept, ensuring that their choices do not compromise their long-term ambitions.

While acknowledging that political alliances are sometimes necessary, Iginla maintained that not all compromises yield positive outcomes. He urged political figures to prioritize sustained influence and credibility over short-term gains that may limit their future prospects.
