Prof Pat Utomi, a professor of political economy and management expert, has stated that Nigerian people want credible elections and that they have both the right and the duty to demand them.
In a video shared by Sahara TV, Pat Utomi said he has interacted with top officials such as a United States Secretary of State and the Prime Minister of Canada. He stated that these leaders often laugh when the issue of Nigerian elections is mentioned. He stated that restoring credible elections is important for Nigeria’s dignity, respect, and image in the international community.
In Utomi’s words: “I’m talking as somebody who has sat down with world leaders, Secretary of State in America, prime minister in Canada and they laugh about elections in Nigeria. Do you want that king of disgrace and humiliation to continue in your country?”
