Hamas had begun moving hostages above ground in a deliberate attempt to use them as human shields

Amidst the ongoing conflict between the Israeli regime, and the Palestinian nationalist Sunni Islamist political organization, which is known as Hamas that resulted in the death of tens of thousands of innocent civilians, Hamas had begun moving some of the remaining Israeli hostages above ground, holding them captive in civilian homes and tents throughout Gaza City in a deliberate attempt to use them as human shields and halt the advancing Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

According to a report by the Jerusalem Post on Monday 15 September, 2025, a top Israeli media outlet, acknowledged that the new strategy tactics of the resistance group, Hamas of moving some of the remaining Israeli hostages above ground, holding them captive in civilian homes and tents throughout Gaza City in a deliberate attempt to use them as human shields and halt the advancing Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) was part of a broader, premeditated legitimacy ambush designed to maximize civilian casualties on the world stage, fueling international outrage and pressuring Israel to cease its critical offensive against the terrorist group’s stronghold.

Another Palestinian media outlet learned about the horrifying reality for the hostages, who were being strategically placed in harm’s way, with an aim by the resistance group to create an impossible dilemma for the Israeli forces where any military action against legitimate terrorist targets now carries an exponentially higher risk of endangering the very captives the army was trying to rescue.

In another related development, Officers in the Southern Command of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) estimated that the Palestinian nationalist Sunni Islamist political organization, which is known as Hamas, viewed capturing a soldier as a strategic achievement, and was preparing a complex network of traps to execute such a tactic as forces push into densely populated urban areas.
