The former lawmaker was asked to comment on a northern Islamic cleric whose views on terrorism have sparked significant controversy. Sani clarified that despite his personal acquaintance with the cleric, he firmly opposes the scholar’s approach to handling terrorists.

He asserted that the campaign against insecurity must be resolute and collective, without any room for justifications that minimise the pain of the victims.
