Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has shared his reaction on his official X account after coming across photos of Riley Moore and other United States lawmakers meeting with Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
According to a report from PUNCH, the American lawmakers recently arrived in Nigeria to discuss concerns related to alleged attacks on Christians in the country. Their visit followed the declaration made by U.S. President Donald Trump, who listed Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern, warning that military measures could be considered if the Nigerian government fails to address the killings.
In his post, Fani-Kayode extended a warm welcome to the visiting lawmakers. He urged them to inform President Trump that there is no ongoing genocide in Nigeria, stressing that the violence affecting communities cuts across both Christian and Muslim populations.
He further stated that Nigeria requires support, cooperation, and genuine partnership to combat terrorism, not accusations or threats from foreign nations.
Quoting his statement on X, Fani-Kayode wrote:
“Support, understanding, good faith and assistance in our war against terror, not insults and threats, from your country is what we need and welcome.”
