Don’t Worry About People Shouting On Your Mandate We Stand, We’ve Shouted When It Mattered Most—Wike

Nyesom Wike has praised his supporters in Rivers State for standing firm during difficult political moments and supporting President Bola Tinubu when it mattered most. Speaking at a meeting with his loyalists, Wike made it clear that their decisions were not based on public opinion or pressure, but on strong personal conviction and belief in the future.

In a video shared by TVC News, he reminded them that even when they were not in power, they refused to give up. According to him, many of his supporters faced harassment and intimidation, yet they remained committed and refused to abandon their position. Wike said this courage and loyalty deserved appreciation, which was why he and his team came together to openly say thank you.

A major part of his message focused on trust and integrity. Wike emphasized that agreements should be taken seriously. In his view, anyone who knows they cannot keep a promise should not make one in the first place. He stressed that once an agreement is made, it must be honored at all times, not changed based on convenience.

He urged his supporters not to be distracted by people who are now making noise and chanting ‘on your mandate we shall stand’ in solidarity with Tinubu. Wike pointed out that his team spoke out and took a stand when it truly counted, not when it was safe or popular to do so.

In his words, “Don’t worry yourself about people who are shouting, ‘On your mandate we stand,’ we have shouted when it mattered most.”
