According to report by Vanguard on Monday, March 30, 2026, former Governor of Kano State and 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has officially become a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

He formally registered with the party and was issued his membership card on Monday at Gidan Kwankwasiyya, located along Miller Road in Bompai, Kano.
