Chidi Odinkalu Reacts As US Presidential Adviser Dismisses Claims Of Religious Persecution

Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission recently reacted after a United States presidential adviser, Massad Boulos dismissed claims of religious persecution in Nigeria. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the defence was questionable.

Massad Boulos, a United States presidential adviser recently commented on the claims of genocidal activities against Christians in Nigeria. In his remarks, he dismissed the reports, disclosing that the act was an act of terrorism which affected all religions.

His comments however, quickly garnered widespread traction across various social media platforms, drawing mixed reactions, including from renowned human rights activist and lawyer, Chidi Odinkalu.

According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he accused the Nigerian government of attempting to change the narratives, disclosing that they were in a desperate position.

In his arguments, Chidi Odinkalu, known for his outspokenness, pointed out that defending the genocidal claims by making it known that all religions were affected was a disgraceful defence.

The statements from Chidi Odinkalu, while many viewed them as contentious, underlines the need to take pragmatic actions to end all forms of insurgency in the country.
