Before The President Gave The Go Ahead Yesterday, He Said It Must Be A Joint Operation-Yusuf Tuggar

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar has stated that before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu permitted the US military action in Nigeria, he made it clear that it must be a joint operation.

This statement was contained in a viral video that was posted on the official X handle of CHANNELS TV on Friday, December 26, 2025.

This is coming after the President of the United State of America, Donald Trump announced that he has launched several strikes on terrorists in Nigeria.

In the video that surfaced online, Yusuf Tuggar confirmed that the Nigerian government knew about the US military action in the North.

Here is what the MInister of Foreign Affairs said;

“Before the President gave the go ahead yesterday, he said it must be made clear that it is a joint operation and that it is not targeting any religion. We are a multi religious country and we are working with partners like the US”.
