
The spokesperson of the coalition-backed African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), stressing that the party has now been in power for ten years.
During an interview with Channels TV, Abdullahi emphasized that Nigerians voted for the APC as a party and not for President Bola Tinubu as an individual.
According to him, contrary to the narrative being pushed by the APC, the previous PDP administration did not hand over a battered economy.
He argued that this claim is being repeatedly circulated in an attempt to make it appear as reality, but when subjected to evidence, it does not hold up.
Abdullahi described the APC’s ten years in government as disastrous and catastrophic for Nigerians, adding that the evidence of this failure is visible in virtually every household across the country.
He said, “APC has been in power for 10 years now. The party Nigerians voted for was APC. Nigerians didn’t vote for President Bola Tinubu’s name; Nigerians voted for APC. The PDP administration did not hand over a battered economy. That’s the narrative they are trying to communicate, and they keep repeating it, hoping that it becomes reality. But when you subject it to evidence, it actually does not stand.
