In a recent video on SYMFONI TV, activist and publisher Omoyele Sowore directed a sharp critique at President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alleging that Tinubu takes advantage of his critics’ silence. During a Tuesday interview, Sowore remarked, “He understands his opponents well; he knows what they are seeking, which is why he chose to stay quiet during their harassment.”
Sowore contended that Tinubu’s decision to remain silent when faced with criticism reflects a strategic method of dealing with opposition and public observation. He suggested that instead of reacting hastily to attacks, Tinubu’s intentional restraint has positioned him favorably in the political landscape, enabling him to manage narratives without entering pointless disputes. “At times, silence resonates more profoundly than speech,” Sowore stated, highlighting how the president’s calm demeanor serves to navigate challenges posed by political rivals and public perception.
He concluded by asserting, “Facing criticism is part of leadership. However, the ability to discern when to engage and when to hold back distinguishes reactive politicians from those who are strategically minded.”
