In a recent interview shared by News Central TV, Convener of Integrity and Transparency Alliance, Isaiah Ijele, has criticized individuals he describes as sympathizers of criminal elements terrorizing Nigerian communities.
Speaking on the security situation in Kogi State and the recent United States military intervention in Sokoto, Ijele commended the joint operation between American and Nigerian forces against terrorist camps. He praised the precision and effectiveness of the coordinated strikes conducted on December 25th.
However, Ijele expressed concern over reactions from certain quarters following the successful bombardment. “That is why you see their sponsors and sympathizers like Gumi crying like fire all over the internet for America to cease fire,” he stated emphatically.
The security analyst argued that those opposing the military action against bandits are revealing their true allegiance. He insisted that such individuals should face arrest for their stance, given the devastating impact of insecurity on innocent Nigerians.
Ijele, who claims to have lost his home to bandit attacks, lamented the destruction faced by his village and countless others across the country. He emphasized that decisive military action, similar to the US-Nigeria operation, could have prevented such losses.
He stressed that seeking international assistance demonstrates strength rather than weakness in addressing national security challenges.
