Supreme Court Has Confirmed That Fubara Has Committed Offenses So, Let Law Take Its Course-Amaewhule

The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon Martins Amaewhule has stated that the Supreme Court has confirmed that the governor of Rivers state, Siminalayi Fubara has committed several offenses against the law.

This statement was contained in a viral video that was posted on the official X account of NEWS CENTRAL TV on January 8, 2026.

In the video that surfaced online, Martins Amaewhule stated that the governor of Rivers state must face the law for violating the constitution. He also described Siminalayi Fubara as a traitor of democracy.

“Why were we elected? Why do we have the legislature? Distinguished colleagues, I thank you for your contributions. We will follow this impeachment proceedings through.

“The Supreme Court has confirmed that the governor (Siminalayi Fubara) has committed offenses against the constitution so, let the law take its course”.
