Okey Bakassi, a popular Nollywood actor and comedian, has stated that the last time he met Governor Siminalayi Fubara was at the governor’s house before the 2023 governorship election
In a video shared by Symfoni TV, Bakassi said that since that meeting, many important things have happened in Governor Fubara’s political journey. He stated that Fubara won the election and within one term became a governor, then was suspended, and later reinstated as governor again.
Bakassi said that God has a purpose for everything, even when people may not understand it at first. He said the challenges Fubara went through have made him one of the most popular governors in the Niger region.
In Bakassi’s words: “Your Excellency, the last time I saw you was at your house and that was before the election. It was a warm reception and in that time a lot has happened. You won the election, in one tenure you became governor, former governor, and governor again. It is fantastic, you are making history. See God has a purpose but people will not know because sometimes when God wants to elevate you by virtue of your challenges you have become one of the most popular governors in Nigeria”
