The Shedding Of Blood Must End, Children Deserve To Return To School And Farmers To Farms -Gen. Musa

Major General Christopher Musa, the minister of Defence has made a commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and properties during a recent meeting with service chiefs. According to his statements which were shared by VANGUARD, he pointed out that shedding of innocent blood must end, children deserve to return to school and farmers must return to their farmlands.

The appointment of the former chief of defence staff, Major General Christopher Musa as the minister for Defence was met with enthusiasm as many believed he was capable of delivering on the mandate handed down to him by president Tinubu.

During a recent meeting with service chiefs which included the Chief of Defence Staff, General Oluyede, the Chief of Naval Staff and other senior military officer, General Christopher Musa made a remarkable commitment.

According to his statements which were made available to the general public by VANGUARD on Saturday December 6th 2025, the former CDS pointed out that the shedding of innocent blood must end.

He further pointed out that school children deserve to return to school and farmers must continue with their farming activities without fear of terror attacks.

To achieve this, Major General Christopher Musa pointed out that kinetic and non-kinetic solutions will be explored. Though, he admitted that the road will be tough.

“The shedding of innocent blood must end. Our children deserve to return to school. Farmers must return to their farms. The road ahead will be tough.” He said.

The statements from the former military chief however, generated mixed reactions as many believed more should be done to effectively end insurgency.
