According to a report by Symfoni TV, on Thursday December 4, 2025, Dumebi Kachikwu, a former ADC Presidential Candidate, has launched a blistering attack on the Federal Government’s handling of insecurity, demanding that President Bola Tinubu immediately expose and prosecute the sponsors of terrorism and warning that shielding them constitutes an act of treason by public officers.
Kachikwu, speaking at a State of the Nation briefing, stated that Nigerians are weary of vague promises and need definitive answers regarding the true forces driving the nation’s security nightmare.
“Mr. President, the time has come for us all to know our enemies and their motives. Is this a religious or political war? Who are the sponsors?” he demanded.
He challenged the President to follow through on persistent threats to expose the financiers, arguing that continued secrecy breeds doubt and impunity.
“We are tired of innuendos and threats of exposing those behind these terrorists. Surely you owe it to the people to expose and prosecute them if they are known.”
Kachikwu then criticized the controversial policy of seeking amnesty for, and negotiating with, terrorists, stating that it is impossible to forgive criminals whose identities remain officially concealed.
“We are now being told to forgive and grant amnesty to blood tested terrorists. Can we forgive those we don’t know?”
The former presidential candidate’s most severe accusation targeted public and security officers who may be protecting terrorists based on ethnic or religious affinity, declaring such actions a betrayal of the nation.
“The oath of every public officer, every soldier is to country, flag and constitution and not to tribe and religion.”
He defined this alleged complicity as the ultimate act of betrayal against the state:
“Treason is when some of those entrusted with the protection of the fatherland decide to protect terrorists because they are kit and king or because they share the same fates.”
