According to a report by The Jerusalem Post on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, sources close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have said that the Israeli leader regrets appointing IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir, as reported by Israel’s public broadcaster, KAN News.

The sources expressed frustration over Zamir’s conduct since assuming the role, claiming that the military chief has not acted in line with the assurances he gave before his appointment. “We made a mistake with his appointment. He is acting too independently and acting the opposite of everything he promised us,” the sources commented, expressing their dissatisfaction with the direction Zamir has taken.
