Former Rivers State Governor and current FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has addressed widespread rumours suggesting he has been expelled or is about to be expelled from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Speaking during a media briefing, Wike dismissed the claims as political propaganda aimed at creating tension and misleading the public.
He insisted that no official communication or disciplinary action had been taken against him by the PDP leadership. According to Wike, individuals pushing the narrative are merely trying to score political points and create division within the party.
Wike emphasised that he remains a committed member of the PDP, despite ongoing disagreements with certain party leaders. He noted that internal disputes are normal in any political organisation, adding that no one has the power to unilaterally remove him from the party without following due process.
The minister also criticised those he described as “political jobbers,” urging Nigerians to ignore fabricated reports and focus on issues that truly matter. He maintained that he has no regrets about the political decisions he made before and after the last general election.
PDP officials have yet to release an official statement addressing the expulsion rumours, leaving supporters awaiting clarity as the debate continues within the party.
