In an interview with Nigeria Info FM, Rev. Hayab stated that a day before the riots, he hosted a guest preacher, Reverend Niyi, at his church, Rahama English Baptist Church in Kaduna. Hayab said that just one day after preaching, Reverend Niyi was burned to death, and his body was so disfigured that it looked like that of a small child

In Rev Hayab’s words: “Precisely the Sunday before that violence, I had a guest preacher in my Church, Reverend Niyi. He preached in my church at Rahama English Baptist Church. You can Google it. Just a day after that, he was burnt and his corpse was like that of a small baby”
