In a recent video on Facebook, renowned prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has cautioned Nigerian leaders to govern with wisdom and foresight, warning that ignorance and poor governance are at the root of the insecurity, poverty, and panic now evident across the country and beyond.
Speaking during a recent prophetic session, Ayodele said Nigeria’s leaders have failed to address the nation’s underlying socio-economic issues, leading to terrorism and instability. He argued that the country has the resources to thrive but continues to suffer due to leadership failure and lack of vision.
“If they are doing the right thing, will there be terrorism? No, sir,” Ayodele declared. “Is America better than Nigeria? No. Why can’t we take time and utilize what we have to make Nigeria grow so that all these terrorists, kidnappings, and poverty will become a thing of the past?”
The cleric described poverty as the foundation of terrorism, noting that until the government tackles it with sincerity, Nigeria’s problems will persist. “Why is there terrorism? Because there’s poverty. Government is not doing the right thing,” he emphasized.
Ayodele also shifted focus to global power tensions, especially between the United States and Russia. He dismissed claims by U.S. President Donald Trump about America’s military superiority, warning that the world could face dire consequences if global leaders continue to provoke one another.
“What is Trump? He said, ‘We have nuclear weapons; we are number one.’ It’s a lie,” Ayodele said. “Go to Russia. When you see what Russia has, you will pray that there should be no war.”
The prophet further linked global panic and rising conflicts to a lack of wisdom among leaders. “When we are talking about this genocide, governments are panicking because they don’t use wisdom,” he added.
