Senator Ted Cruz made this announcement on his official X account on November 4, 2025.
His statement came after President Donald Trump designated Nigeria as Country of Particular Concern over an alleged Christian genocide.
According to the post that Ted Cruz shared on his page, he said now that President Donald Trump has designated Nigeria as Country of Particular Concern, the next step is to hold Nigerian leaders accountable.
He appreciated the US President for imposing the designation on Nigeria.
According to Senator Ted Cruz on his official X account;
“Now we should take the next step and hold Nigerian officials accountable. I intend to be very explicit about who they are in the coming days and weeks”.
