The Yorubas Have Shown Us Love; We Must Return That Love by Supporting the APC — Lagos Igbo Leaders

‎According to a report by Vanguard on Monday, October 20, 2025, the leadership of the Igbo community in Lagos pledged full support for President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

During a reconciliation meeting hosted by Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor) of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, various Igbo leaders under the umbrella of Ohanaeze Ndigbo expressed appreciation to the Yoruba people for their hospitality and called for stronger unity between both ethnic groups.

Chief Sunday Udeh, President General of Ohanaeze Lagos, said Tinubu had demonstrated effective leadership and deserved a second term, assuring that the Igbos would rally behind him.

Market leader Deacon Charles Obih and Eze Ndigbo of Igbogbo/Bayeku, Dr Okey Anorue, also emphasised the need for peaceful coexistence and mutual respect.

Echoing this sentiment, Mrs Uju Ofohre, an APC women leader from Ejigbo LCDA, stated, “The Yorubas have shown us love. We must return that love by supporting the APC and coming out en masse in 2027.”
