Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has condemned the assassination of renowned Islamic preacher, Sheikh Yahaya Ibrahim Masusuka, at his residence in Dutsin-Ma Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Sani described the killing as condemnable, tragic and unfortunate, while expressing condolences over the death of the Islamic cleric.
Reacting to the incident in a statement, the former lawmaker prayed for the repose of the preacher’s soul, asking Allah to grant him eternal rest in paradise.
“The assassination of the renowned Islamic Preacher, Sheikh Yahaya Ibrahim Masusuka, at his residence in Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State, is condemnable, tragic and unfortunate,” Sani stated.
He added, “May his soul rest in Aljanna Firdausi. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.”
The killing has drawn attention to security concerns in Katsina State and the need to protect residents from violent attacks, particularly incidents targeting individuals in their homes.
Sani’s reaction also underscores calls for an end to violence and for the authorities to ensure that those responsible for the preacher’s death are identified and brought to justice.
