The controversy has further polarized public opinion on Nigeria’s electoral reforms, with some expressing cautious optimism about Amupitan’s leadership abilities and others fearing continued political interference in the electoral process. Senator Kalu’s comment underscores the esteem in which Amupitan’s qualifications are held by some lawmakers, even as the Senate prepares to deliberate on his confirmation. This development marks a critical moment for Nigeria’s electoral body, with intense scrutiny on its future direction ahead of the 2027 general elections and broader calls for electoral transparency and reform.Continue, Full, Reading>>>>
