My Grandmother Hid Igbo People In Her House And Fed Them For The Whole Period Of The Civil War –Sani

Comrade Senator Shehu Sani has shared how his grandmother, Hajiya Hassana, protected Igbo people in Kaduna during the Nigerian civil war. Speaking on Creative Lord Tv, he said Hajiya Hassana hid them in her house, fed them, and kept them safe for the whole period of the war.

Shehu Sani said the family only brought the people out after peace was declared. He described the act as a heroic contribution to saving lives.

In Comrade Senator Shehu Sani’s words: “They were kept in the house. She fed them and she protected them for the whole period of the war. And then after the war and then peace was declared, now she brought them out of the house.”
