Former Kaduna Central Senator and human rights activist, Shehu Sani, has welcomed the reported killing of notorious Zamfara bandit leader Kachalla Sani Yellow, describing it as a significant breakthrough in Nigeria’s fight against armed banditry and terrorism.

Reacting through a post on his official X account on Sunday, July 12, 2026, Sani praised the Nigerian security forces for carrying out the operation that led to the death of the wanted criminal. He noted that the development represents an important victory in ongoing efforts to restore peace and security across the North-West.

Kachalla Sani Yellow had long been linked to violent attacks and criminal activities in several communities in Zamfara State.
