Unbelievable: Same Killer” – Fulani Caught by Hunters in Imesi-Ile Linked to Brutal Beheading of Teacher Michael Oyedokun

A new claim circulating online has reignited grief and anger over the killing of Mr. Michael Oyedokun, the mathematics teacher abducted from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele, Oriire LGA, Oyo State, on May 15, 2026.

Social media users say one of several Fulani men arrested by local hunters in Imesi-Ile, Obokun LGA, Osun State, around Friday, July 10, 2026, is the same man seen in the viral beheading video of Oyedokun.

According to posts on X, Instagram, and Facebook, hunters entered a forest after reports of suspicious herdsmen and their cattle. The suspects were alleged to be planning an attack on the community. The men were detained days ago and handed over to authorities.

The online allegation is based on clothing. Users are sharing side-by-side photos comparing one suspect’s track suit trousers and slippers to what one of the killers wore in the mid-May beheading video of Oyedokun. Many commenters say “the resemblance is too strong to ignore.”

The claim has spread rapidly, with thousands of views and comments.

Some expressed outrage: _“So the same person wey kill Oyedokun dey roam free and get caught for Osun? Government, do something abeg!”_

Another wrote: _“Track suit and slippers no lie. Na the same bandit. Hunters, una try! Make police investigate sharp sharp.”_

Many voiced broader pain: _“This is too much. How many more teachers and children go die before action?”_ and _“May justice catch all of them. Rest in peace, Mr Oyedokun.”_

Others urged caution: _“Make we no rush. Let police confirm first before ethnic wahala start.”_ The majority, however, are calling for the Osun suspects to be properly questioned and checked against the Oyo attack.

Visual resemblance in photos is not proof of identity. Law enforcement typically relies on forensics, investigation, and due process to link suspects to crimes. Premature conclusions can escalate ethnic tension and undermine investigations.

The online claim has stirred strong emotions and demands for accountability. For now, Nigerians are waiting for an official statement from police on whether any of the Imesi-Ile suspects are connected to the Ahoro-Esinele abduction and Oyedokun’s death…See More
