During an interview with News Central TV on Sunday, June 28, 2026, Abayomi Arabambi, Labour Party National Vice Chairman (South-West), advised the presidential candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, to return to the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA ahead of the forthcoming 2027 presidential election.
This follows the judgment by the Federal High Court in Lokoja voiding the registration of the Nigeria Democratic Congress NDC after the Peace Movement Party PMP alleged the duplication of its party logo by the NDC.
However, during the interview, Abayomi Arabambi, Labour Party National Vice Chairman (South-West), urged ex-governor Peter Obi to return to the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and contest the forthcoming presidential polls since he had vowed to remain in APGA in the past.
In Arabambi’s words, “I will advise him to go back to APGA and run for presidential election; he said he will die in APGA.”
