Policy strategist Baba Yusuf has expressed concern over the atrocities committed by terrorists against victims in Zamfara State and questioned how families affected by such incidents would be consoled following the loss of innocent children.
Speaking during an interview on Arise News, Yusuf recounted a tragic incident involving abducted residents of Kauran Namoda and described the suffering endured by victims while in captivity.
“What are they going to tell the mother of the twins, who was heavily pregnant? In Kauran Namoda, in May 2025, about 200 people were abducted. During their stay in captivity, she gave birth to twins within a few days. The terrorists took the twins and threw them to their dogs.”
Yusuf said the incident remains one of the most heartbreaking examples of the brutality faced by communities affected by insecurity and stressed the need for stronger measures to protect citizens and support victims and their families.
He noted that beyond statistics and reports, the human cost of insecurity continues to leave lasting pain on survivors and relatives, adding that authorities must intensify efforts to tackle terrorism and restore confidence among residents living in affected areas across the country.
