Nigeria Is Coming To An End: Police told us to look for ransom money” – Lady shares disturbing details of mother’s kidnapping ordeal

A Nigerian lady has shared disturbing details of her mother’s kidnapping ordeal after the woman regained her freedom from her abductors in Ogun State. The incident, first reported by Gistreel, highlights the growing security concerns facing families across the country and the difficult choices they confront when loved ones are taken.

In an earlier post, the lady revealed that the family received a distress call directly from her mother informing them that she had been kidnapped and that her abductors were demanding a ransom of N50 million for her release. The call threw the family into panic and set off a chain of events that exposed both the risks of abduction and the gaps in response.

Speaking after her mother regained freedom, the lady recounted how the family first became aware of the full extent of the incident. “After I got the call from my mom that she had been kidnapped and they needed ransom, I called my brothers. That was how we knew my younger brother had escaped and reported the incident,” she said.

According to her, her younger brother was abducted alongside their mother but managed to escape from the kidnappers. He immediately reported the matter to the police. Security operatives subsequently raided the area following the report, but efforts to locate the victims were unsuccessful. The failed operation left the family with limited options as the abductors maintained contact and pressure for payment.

The family allegedly received advice to focus on raising ransom after attempts to track the kidnappers failed. “The police later told us to go and look for ransom. They asked for food, recharge cards, bread, sardines and a N1 million transfer,” she claimed.

The lady further disclosed that the kidnappers demanded various supplies in addition to cash before agreeing to release her mother. The requests included food items and phone credit, suggesting the abductors intended to sustain themselves during negotiations.

She also recounted the tragic story of another kidnapped woman whose family allegedly paid N28 million to secure her freedom, only for the victim and the person who delivered the ransom to be killed by the abductors.
