According to a report by The Times of Israel on May 25, 2026, U.S. President Donald Trump linked the proposed Iran nuclear agreement to the broader Abraham Accords framework, saying participation should become “mandatory” for six Muslim-majority countries while urging Saudi Arabia and Qatar to take the lead.
Trump wrote on Truth Social that negotiations with Iran were moving in a positive direction, but stressed that any agreement must meet Washington’s conditions. “Negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are proceeding nicely! It will only be a Great Deal for all or, no Deal at all,” he said.
He also warned that failure to secure an agreement could lead to renewed military conflict. “Back to the Battlefront and shooting, but bigger and stronger than ever before,” Trump stated, highlighting the risk of escalation if diplomacy fails.
