Sowore made the statement during an interview on Sahara TV while reacting to recent attacks linked to bandits and armed groups in different parts of the country. According to him, the worsening security situation should be treated as a serious national emergency before it escalates further.

During the interview, Sowore said, “I’m afraid, I’m not a prophet of doom. These guys are going to overrun the Southwest very soon.”

The activist noted that his warning was not intended to create panic but to draw attention to what he described as the increasing movement and expansion of criminal groups into new territories. He argued that authorities have not shown enough urgency in addressing the threat posed by banditry and terrorism.

Sowore also criticized the response of security agencies, insisting that intelligence reports and warnings from concerned citizens have often been ignored until attacks occur. He maintained that communities in the South-West should not assume they are immune from the insecurity affecting other parts of the country….See More
