According to a report by Punch News on Saturday, May 16, 2026, Emmanuel Nyamson, a businessman who spent nine months in the kidnappers’ den, recounted that the kidnappers took them (those kidnapped with him) into the forest and they Trekked for like five days and four night.
Recounting his ordeal, Emmanuel Nyamson said the kidnappers had come to abduct the white construction workers traveling from Tegina to Kontagora. That day, however, the white workers didn’t use that road.
On his way back, he found that the kidnappers had already blocked the road and picked him up along with another man who was also on a motorcycle. He explained that he had gone to his farm on a bike.
He added that he had called one of the labourers outside the barracks to bring him the motorcycle so he could ride to his farm and pay them, around 9 am. On their way back, the kidnappers had already blocked the road and abducted 36 people.
He continued that after the kidnappers abducted the two of them, they took them into the forest, where they trekked for about five days and four nights. Nyamson said he kept collapsing along the way, and the kidnappers would give him Tramadol to take.
