Four Girls Carried Me To Front Of Lagoon & Said” You Own Is Too Much, We Will Kill You Today ” -Tunde Bakare

Pastor Tunde Bakare has stated that his days as a student at the University of Lagos were filled with memorable experiences, especially when he contested for the position of Students’ Union president.

In a video shared by Channels Television, Pastor Bakare said during the campaign, he had a funny but scary encounter with some female students. He stated that four Igbo girls carried him up and took him to the front of the lagoon, threatening to throw him. He said he began shouting for help, screaming “Egbami oo!” for people to come to his rescue.

Pastor Bakare said he eventually lost the election but the person who won was later rusticated from the university. He said as a result, he was regarded as “president emeritus”. He added humorously that he still enjoyed all the benefits, including eating free food.

In Pastor Bakare’s words: “I am not tribalistic but I fear Igbo girls till tomorrow, and I will likely not say hello, Kedu, to an Igbo girl. Four of them carried me like I was their hero to the front of the lagoon and said, ‘Your own is too much, we will kill you today’.
