Atiku,Obi, Kwankwaso: Combine Their Votes, They Got Over 14M Votes While Tinubu Got About 8M -Ogene

Afam Ogene, the newly elected caucus leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the House of Representatives, has stated that the combined electoral strength of key opposition figures surpasses that of the current president.

In an interview shared by VANGUARD on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, Ogene highlighted the political influence of Peter Obi, Rabiu Kwankwaso, and Atiku Abubakar.

Ogene noted that Obi’s governance record and commitment to the rule of law are widely acknowledged, while Kwankwaso commands strong grassroots support in northern Nigeria. He added that Atiku has consistently demonstrated dedication to democratic principles through legal challenges that strengthened the judiciary.

According to Ogene, the combined votes of the three politicians exceed 14 million, compared to about 8 million secured by the current president, representing roughly 36 percent.
