When I Go To School Tours Around Ngige Village, He Will Even Tell Me What The School Is Lacking -Obi

Former Anambra State governor Peter Obi said that while in office he regularly toured schools, including the village of his successor Dr Chris Ngige, often met him, greeted him and pointed out deficiencies in the facilities.

Speaking in an interview with SYMFONI TV, Obi recalled that Ngige did not shy away from criticizing projects when he felt they were underperforming. Rather than take offense, Obi said he welcomed the feedback and used it to make improvements, stressing that the remarks came from genuine concern rather than malice.

Obi presented the exchanges as an example of constructive criticism and mutual respect among public officials, arguing that honest, respectful feedback helps strengthen accountability and service delivery.
