I Don’t Believe In Religion; My Dad Was An Alhaji And My Mom A Muslim. My Wife Is A Christian—Fadeyi

Popular Nollywood actor, Femi Fadeyi, has shared his personal views on religion and spirituality, revealing that his upbringing exposed him to different faiths and shaped his belief in humanity over religious identity.

Speaking during an interview with Talk To B, Fadeyi explained that he does not identify strictly with any religion, choosing instead to see himself as a believer in God rather than a follower of a particular doctrine.

He said, “I’m not a religious person. I don’t believe in religion.”

When asked whether he is a Christian or a Muslim, the actor replied, “I’m a believer. My dad was an Alhaji, my mom was a Muslim, though she didn’t go to Mecca but she went to church. My wife is a Christian from the Catholic faith. I have Taofik in my name, but I don’t understand any Arabic.”

Fadeyi went on to describe how his spiritual journey led him to study religion more deeply. “I went to Bible school. When I saw what religion is all about, I now believe that the way we practice religion, we are actually causing crisis among ourselves. We are confusing ourselves and we are putting religion into things that don’t have to do with it. So I decided to be a free person,” he said.

The actor emphasized that love, peace, and understanding are more important than denominational or doctrinal differences. He added that his family’s diversity in faith has taught him tolerance and unity, values he believes the world needs more than ever today.Continue, Full, Reading>>>>
