I Heard What Atiku Said; What Do You Expect From A Man Who Feels I Made Him Lose Election -Wike

He addressed the backlash and provided background on his earlier comments concerning Channels Television journalist Seun Okinbaloye.

Wike stated, “I heard what Atiku said; what else would you expect from someone who believes I cost him an election?” He implied that some of the criticism directed at him is driven by political motives and lingering bitterness from past electoral dynamics. He maintained that his statements were not intended to provoke violence, but were instead misread by both the public and political adversaries.

He added that certain political actors routinely amplify or twist remarks to suit their agendas. Describing the media and political responses as routine, he observed that some people seize any chance to target him whenever his name surfaces in public conversation.

The FCT Minister also revealed that he had spoken directly with Seun Okinbaloye in a private setting, confirming that there is no ongoing dispute. He emphasized that no personal grievances exist, and that the situation was overstated and misrepresented by those seeking political gain.

Wrapping up, Wike encouraged Nigerians to consider the full context of statements before drawing conclusions. He stressed that his comments are frequently stripped of their original meaning by opponents. He affirmed his commitment to peaceful dialogue and called for a focus on open, honest political debate rather than personal confrontations….See More
