Chidi Odinkalu Reacts As Tinubu’s Minister Umahi Announced Formation Of Fmr South-East Govs Forum

Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and legal practitioner recently reacted after the minister for works and former governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi announced the formation of a group known as the former southeast governor’s forum. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the group was working for president Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

The minister for works and former governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi was recently on the spotlight after he announced the formation of a group known as the former southeast governor’s forum.

The group comprises of former governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, former governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, former governor Rivers State, Martin Elechi and former governor of Ebonyi State and works minister, David Umahi.

Reacting, Chidi Odinkalu, a respected human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission who in a recent statement shared on his official X handle, made the disclosure accompanied by a striking comment.

According to his statements, he pointed out that the group was working for president Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027. He further pointed out that the president had successfully launched a proxy group in the southeast region.

However, according to his statements, Chidi Odinkalu, widely known for his outspokenness, pointed out that members of the forum had faulty records, hence their decision to form the forum.
