Ndume, I Know Where You’re Living, No Streetlights, But Go Home & Sleep Now; There’ll Be Lights– Nyesom Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has promised that Senator Ali Ndume’s area in Abuja will soon have streetlights. Wike made this statement on Thursday during the flag-off of the Light Up Abuja project, an initiative aimed at improving security and making the city brighter at night.

In a video shared by Lere Olayinka via X, speaking directly to Senator Ndume, Wike said he was aware that there were no streetlights where the senator lived. He assured him that with the new project, the situation would soon change. “Senator Ali Ndume, I know where you’re living, and there’s no streetlight. But go home and sleep now; there’ll be streetlights,” Wike said.

The minister also urged lawmakers to continue supporting the project financially. He explained that whenever the FCT administration requested funds, lawmakers should see it as an investment that would benefit the people. “That’s why each time you’re in the Senate and we ask for N1, increase it to N5, knowing fully well that the money will be well utilised,” Wike added.

Wike thanked members of the Senate and House of Representatives for their contin uous support, stressing that their cooperation makes it possible for his team to deliver on promises.Continue, Full, Reading>>>>
