Social media users have taken to their official X account on Friday, April 3, 2026 to react to the new directive that was given by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
This came ahead of the upcoming presidential election in 2023.
In the statement that surfaced online, the Independent National Electoral Commission asked Nigerians to go and revalidate their Permanent Voters Card.
The commission stated that the exercise was initiated to clean voters register and protect the votes of the people. INEC stated that anyone who fails to revalidate the PVC will not be able to vote.
According to INEC on its official X account;
“INEC will commence a nationwide Voter Revalidation Exercise to clean the register and protect your vote. This is not a new registration”.
