Reactions As FFK Says Opposition Parties Should Prepare For Nigeria’s Greatest Humiliation In 2027

Reactions have continued to trail comments made by Femi Fani-Kayode, who predicted a crushing defeat for opposition parties in Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.

The former Minister of Aviation, now a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Ambassador-designate, described the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a party struggling with deep internal crises. According to him, the lingering disputes within the party could prevent it from presenting a presidential candidate recognised by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on April 1, 2026, Fani-Kayode mocked the ADC’s recent activities, including its recruitment efforts and public engagements. He argued that the party’s internal divisions, factional disputes, and ongoing legal battles highlight its instability. For him, aligning with the ADC would be a wasted effort for politicians seeking relevance ahead of the next election cycle.

Despite his criticism, Fani-Kayode urged opposition figures to put aside their differences and work towards presenting a unified front. He called on them to resolve internal conflicts and avoid constant court disputes, noting that only a credible candidate would make the contest worthwhile.

He went further to predict what he described as a “mighty fall” and an unprecedented humiliation for the ADC and its potential allies in 2027.

His remarks come amid ongoing talks among members of the Peoples Democratic Party, Labour Party, and other groups considering a coalition under the ADC platform to challenge the ruling APC.

According to Femi Fani-Kayode on his official X handle:

“Winning will not be as much fun unless we give them a good hiding in the field of battle. Whichever way they should prepare for a mighty fall and the greatest humiliation in the history of Nigerian politics…..See More
