Anyone Who Will Sneak Under The Cover Of The Night And Kill People As Done In Jos Is A Coward -Tinubu

According to Vanguard, President Bola Tinubu has urged security agencies to adopt a more proactive approach in preventing attacks across the country, with particular emphasis on northern regions.

He strongly condemned the recent violent incidents in Angwan Rukuba district, Jos, Plateau State, where gunmen launched assaults on the local community.

The President also expressed his condemnation of attacks that occurred in Kahir village in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Describing the violence in both Jos and Kaduna—including the killing and abduction of wedding guests—as an affront to the values and principles of Nigeria, President Tinubu reassured citizens that those responsible for such barbaric acts will be brought to justice.

In a statement issued through his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, the President said: “Anyone who will sneak under the cover of the night and kill defenceless citizens as done in Jos and Kahir village, is a heartless coward. By attacking soft targets in Jos, their objective is not only to cause harm but also trigger a spiral of reprisal attacks and further bloodletting.”

Through his remarks, Tinubu underscored the broader threat posed by such attacks, warning that targeting vulnerable communities not only endangers lives but also fuels cycles of retaliation that can destabilize entire regions.

He emphasized the need for coordinated intelligence and rapid response by security agencies to prevent further loss of life and to maintain public safety.

By condemning these incidents so firmly, the President sought to reinforce the federal government’s commitment to protecting citizens and upholding law and order.

His statements reflect the administration’s recognition of the persistent security challenges in parts of northern Nigeria and the urgent need for effective measures to safeguard communities and prevent future attacks…..See More
