Dele Momodu Identifies Strategies ADC Must Adopt To Defeat Tinubu And APC In 2027

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, has outlined key strategies he believes the opposition party must adopt to stand a chance against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

Momodu made the remarks while speaking on the Wednesday edition of The Morning Show on Arise News, where he analysed the political landscape and the prospects of the ADC.

According to him, the party must strategically engage regions and political blocs that are currently dissatisfied with the APC, particularly loyalists of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

“In matters of strategy, ADC must go to parts of the country where there are disgruntled politicians against the APC and capture them,” he said, adding that many Buhari loyalists are not pleased with the current administration and could become a critical support base.

Momodu stressed that winning elections goes beyond popularity or public excitement, noting that political success requires careful planning and coalition-building.

“What it takes to win an election is not just crowd or noise. You must study how Buhari emerged in 2015,” he stated.

He also acknowledged the political strength of President Tinubu, describing him as a formidable and experienced politician who cannot be easily defeated.

“Tinubu is a very strong politician and presidential candidate,” Momodu said.

The media entrepreneur further highlighted the importance of experience in leadership, pointing to Atiku Abubakar as a key figure who should not be overlooked in the opposition’s strategy.

“The most experienced politician and administrator in Nigeria today is Atiku Abubakar. He must not be ignored in the scheme of strategies to unseat Tinubu,” he added.
