He explained that the difficulty in forming a united opposition stems largely from competing interests among key political figures, noting that many politicians remain focused on individual goals rather than collective progress. Adedosu stated that this trend has consistently weakened efforts to build a formidable alternative to the ruling party.
According to Adedosu, “Atiku Abubakar said, ‘As far as he is alive, he will be contesting for the presidency of Nigeria.’” He made the statement while discussing the political trajectory of Atiku Abubakar and the implications of such a declaration on opposition unity, emphasizing that it reflects a long-standing personal ambition that may be difficult to reconcile with broader coalition efforts.
