Wike:Before Becoming President, Pray And Do What Is Needful, Or Your Political Plan May Fail—Ayodele

The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Elijah Ayodele, has offered advice to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, regarding his potential political future and possible presidential ambition.

Ayodele shared the remarks in a video posted on his official Facebook page on Sunday, March 15, 2026, where he spoke about the complexities of Nigerian politics and the challenges facing individuals who aspire to lead the country.

In the video, the cleric urged Wike to seek spiritual guidance and take the necessary steps before attempting to pursue Nigeria’s highest political office.

“Before becoming president, pray and do what is needful, or your political plan may fail,” Ayodele said while addressing the subject of leadership and preparation for high public office.

According to him, the path to becoming president requires far more than personal ambition or political popularity. Instead, he stressed that the position demands careful planning, strategic thinking, and strong support structures capable of withstanding the intense pressures of national politics.

Ayodele explained that the Nigerian political landscape is highly complex and often unpredictable. Because of this, he said individuals who aspire to lead the country must be prepared for shifting alliances, political rivalries, and unexpected developments that could affect their plans.

He added that without adequate preparation and a clear strategy, even well-established politicians could find their ambitions derailed.

The cleric emphasized that leaders must build solid political networks and maintain strong relationships with allies across different regions and political groups in the country. According to him, cultivating loyalty among supporters and ensuring unity within one’s political base are essential elements for anyone seeking national leadership.

As a result, he advised that careful planning and disciplined action are necessary to navigate the political environment successfully.

While speaking in the video, the cleric suggested that spiritual guidance could also play a role in helping political leaders prepare for the responsibilities and challenges that come with holding high office.
